Where it all began…

Hi, I’m Helen and I’m the founder of Chateau Chic. Our story began with a cherished family heirloom - my mother's beloved china. Inspired by the desire to display the china in my own home, I envisioned transforming these timeless pieces into something modern, while honouring their rich history and sentimental value. This sparked the creation of our business, where tradition meets contemporary design. Every item we craft carries a story, blending the elegance of the past with a fresh, stylish touch for today. We’re passionate about preserving memories through unique, reimagined pieces that continue to inspire and connect generations.

  • So, how did the business idea start?

    My parents had collected and proudly displayed limited edition collectors plates in their house, they were beautiful, not my taste, but they were my mothers pride and joy.

    My mother sadly passed away and over quite a few drinks one afternoon with my niece we laughed about how we should drill them and make them into cake stands (something that my mother would have not forgiven us for !!)

    The idea stuck, and Chateau Chic was born, whilst I didn't drill the display plates, I did drill some of my mothers favourite china for myself which is a lovely keepsake.

Our weekends are often spent scouring the enchanting world of antiques, visiting stores in search for unique pieces with their own stories.

Back at home in our workshop, we carefully restore and reimagine our finds into the unique pieces that you’ll find on our stand at events. Our time spent in antique stores and our workshop are about more than just unique pieces; it’s about our belief in connecting people to the past while welcoming them into a beautifully curated present.
